Testing involves transferring data, validating the test submission, and then repeating the process. Multiple tests are conducted to verify data integrity and accuracy. Trading partners must have two "clean" (error free) submissions in succession. All trading partners must meet the "clean" submission requirement. Testing includes as many submissions as necessary to reach results that satisfy both trading partners.
A comparison file must accompany each test submission. The comparison file consists of the same data set being transferred via EDI, except that it should be submitted using your current non-EDI method. All submissions during this phase are for testing purposes only. You must still submit data in the regular, non-EDI format.
Once the testing of the submission is complete, a transaction set TS997 (Functional Acknowledgment) is generated and can be made available to the trading partner. |
