Canon’s DR-7080C is a high-speed combination flatbed/sheetfed color production
scanner, delivering outstanding image quality, with optimized throughput and
ease of use. Leveraging the technologies of both the award-winning imageRUNNER®
and DR-Series Scanner lines, the DR-7080C has an optical resolution of 600 dpi
and is capable of scanning speeds of 70 pages per minute in 24-bit color, grayscale,
and black and white.
The DR-7080C is equally convenient in both flatbed and sheetfed mode. The Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF) that can handle up to 100 sheets and can automatically
detect the length (up to 21.3" in Long Mode) and width of each document
in a mixed batch, with no manual presorting required. Or, simply raise the cover
to scan hard-to-handle documents, such as books, bound reports, or documents
too fragile to send through the feeder.

The DR-7080C combines a simple user-interface and control panel with advanced
capabilities and features:
- High-speed USB 2.0 SCSI-III and interfaces with industry-standard ISIS®
and TWAIN drivers, offer high-speed connectivity, multi-platform compatibility
and streamlined installation.
- Canon's unique MultiStream™ technology enables you to generate multiple
images in various combinations from a single scan, whether it is color, B&W,
grayscale, binary, or R/G/B color dropout. Applications with multiple processing
and archiving requirements can be scanned in one pass, with virtually no reduction
in throughput.
- Skewed documents aren’t a problem. On-board JPEG compression and automatic
text orientation recognition automatically correct image rotation. No nudging,
repositioning, or straightening required.
The Canon DR-7080C comes bundled with Canon’s CapturePerfect 2.1 scanning
software, which provides an easy-to-use scanning interface and a choice of output
formats for compatibility with popular imaging systems. CapturePerfect makes
it easy to save images in PDF format, scan-to-E-mail, and provides a variety
of powerful scanning tools.
