Compact, easy-to-use, and versatile…the Bowe Bell & Howell Copiscan 8000 Spectrum Series represents one of the world’s fastest and most durable color scanner lines. These powerful scanners perform at speeds up to 125 landscaped pages per minute in color as well as grayscale and bitonal modes (they even scan double-sided originals at full-speed). They’re built to scan up to 60,000 documents per day for virtually non-stop scanning. And with their state-of-the-art camera technology (featuring 30 million pixel per-second throughput and up to 400 dpi optical resolution), they capture all kinds of documents—photos, text, charts and diagrams--with astounding vividness and clarity.

The Bowe Bell & Howell Copiscan 8000 Spectrum Series is the first line of production scanners to integrate Kofax’s VirtualReScan® (VRS) 3.0 image enhancement technology. VRS automatically adapts and adjusts for original documents that are crooked, distorted, obscured by complex backgrounds, or are of mixed sizes and thicknesses, assuring optimal image quality without slowing down the scanner. As a result, almost no document prepping is necessary; you won't need to change settings each time you scan a different batch type and rescanning is virtually eliminated. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) rates are significantly improved, too. The end result: fewer rescans and a much faster overall throughput.
In addition, Spectrum is the first production scanner to integrate VRS so that it works with any software application using ImageControls, ISIS or TWAIN drivers. They also come bundled with a Kofax Adrenaline 650i PC interface board and a SCSI-3 cable. All this makes for lower scanning and labor costs, higher document throughput, and a more streamlined workflow process.
Choose from three models:
- Copiscan 8125D-C Spectrum: Reaches a top speed of 125 ppm in landscape mode; 100 ppm in portrait mode (150 dpi resolution)
- Copiscan 8100D-C Spectrum: Performs at speeds up to of 100 ppm in landscape mode; 800 ppm in portrait mode (150 dpi resolution)
- Copiscan 8080D-C Spectrum: Scans at up to 80 ppm in landscape mode; 65 ppm in portrait mode (150 dpi resolution)
The Bowe Bell & Howell Copiscan 8000 Spectrum Series is designed for simple routine maintenance. Its elegant clamshell design places all consumables within easy reach and gives you access to the entire paper path; you never have to call a service technician just because a piece of paper jammed. And at a mere 103 lbs. and 18" x 22.75" x 27.5", these compact scanners fit easily on most table or desk tops and take up much less space than scanners of comparable speed and performance.
