eCopy ScanStation OP is comprised of software and hardware that enables users to distribute and exchange scanned paper documents over corporate networks and the Internet. eCopy ShareScan OP powers the scanning function of a digital copier and corporate network, enabling users to transform hardcopy documents into a variety of popular file formats — PDF, HTML, G3 TIFF, and G4 TIFF) — and instantaneously send to an email inbox, content management system, fax server or desktop, directly from your office copier or scanner. At the user's desktop, the scanned file can be viewed, printed or edited, then sent via the Internet anywhere around the world.
The eCopy ScanStation OP is comprised of:
- eCopy ScanStation: An integrated free standing touch screen, keyboard and PC that attaches easily to any scan capable digital copier or scanner (including Canon, HP and Ricoh devices). - Document Creation and Format Conversion: change file format, select document encryption and create searchable text right at the device. Scanned documents are saved as TIFF or PDF files.
- Included Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine automatically recognizes text in documents as they are scanned and embeds the text output in the file. Documents containing searchable text can then be used by document management systems for full-text indexing, search and retrieval.
- Secure Delivery of Electronic Documents: Encryption Capabilities enable the user to save and/or e-mail a document with a password and encrypt the document with 128-bit encryption.
