| Overview |
|
Ricoh ScanRouter Professional is an easy-to-use software package that serves as a digital document delivery system for selected Ricoh Aficio multi-functional products (MFPs). It enables your Aficio MFP to scan documents such as photos, schematics and hand-written reports, and then convert them into digital files (PDF, TIFF, JPEG, BMO, or DCS format) that can be transmitted electronically over your network for convenient sorting, management and sharing. It also functions as a network scanner and electronic inbound fax routing system.

Ricoh ScanRouter Professional is an integral component of any document management and distribution strategy. It functions as a:
- Network Tool: Operating within your existing networked environment, it eliminates the need for individual desktop scanners.
- Communication Tool: It helps optimize your existing communications infrastructure.
- Distribution Tool: It accelerates the digital distribution of scanned documents and incoming faxes directly to the user’s desktop.
- Automation Tool: It provides scanning capability from your Ricoh Aficio MFP and network scanner.
- Web Tool: It provides web-browser operation for simplified access to document files from the desktop.
- Productivity Tool: It integrates paper documents such as graphics, blue prints and forms into your digital network.
- Retrieval Tool: It lets you create a text search data file for each document for full text/content document searching.
Ricoh ScanRouter Professional software loads onto a dedicated server and directly interfaces with your MFP, network scanner or internet fax, eliminating the need for individual desktop scanners. Network administrators can create and modify system settings at the ScanRouter Professional Station. Users can view and retrieve scanned documents using Ricoh’s Web Enabled Document Viewer. The Document Viewer identifies individual users/groups’ In-Trays for easy access and makes it easy to share or manually download scanned documents and fax communications. And with ScanRouter Link installed on a client PC, users can automatically download and receive documents from their personal In-Tray at their PC desktop.
