| Overview |
|
Combining email functionality with an accessible copier platform, Ricoh GlobalScan software and server act as a digital document routing system, enabling users of Ricoh multifunctional products (MFPs) to quickly scan paper documents and distribute as digital files. GlobalScan accepts scanned documents from select Ricoh Aficio MFPs; then electronically transmits them over a network as attached emails or directly into network folders. Documents can be delivered in several formats, including PDF and TIFF – with options for searchable PDF, Rich Text Format and Excel.

Powerful, yet easy-to-use, GlobalScan simplifies and streamlines your workplace in more ways than one. GlobalScan supports up to 100 MFPs through one server, allowing scalability as your organization grows. It also lets workgroup and departmental users perform all copying, scanning, and routing on a single device - saving the cost of multiple stand-alone scanners. As well, GlobalScan integrates seamlessly with your existing corporate global e-mail address books on Exchange or Lotus Notes; and random single or multiple email addresses can be easily entered through the MFP’s operation panel.
