The Ricoh Aficio Pro 906EX device makes quick work of the largest jobs with output speeds of up to 90 pages-per-minute in black and white and a single-pass document feeder that scans up to 80 sides-per-minute in monochrome or color. The Pro 906EX boasts a standard 320GB Hard Disk Drive and 256MB of memory, which is upgradeable to 512MB. The Pro 906EX model also comes standard with a 100-sheet ARDF and a standard paper capacity of 3,000 sheets that can be expanded to 8,050-sheets with optional accessories.

The Pro 906EX is designed to serve the high volume copying, printing, and scanning needs of large workgroups, departments or divisions made up of 50 to 100 users. At these sites, multiple users share access to the device. When deployed in this fashion, there is no need for specialized training or a dedicated operator. What the General Office market will welcome is the opportunity to consolidate copy/print/scan workflow on a single system, replacing costly single-function peripherals. Thanks to the Pro 906EX’s ease-of-use, speed and flexible finishing options, these environments can also produce documents in-house, perhaps financial reports, newsletters, training manuals and mailers. | Data Overwrite Security System |
DOSS provides automatic overwriting of information after each copy, scan or print job. The data are overwritten a minimum of three times, conforming to recommended National Security Agency (NSA) methods for managing classified information, so information cannot be easily retrieved or stolen. Additionally, it is possible to use DOSS to overwrite all of the information on the HDD. This is a useful capability when returning the system or moving it to another department or building. |
