The Canon CLC 4000’s new delivery and fixing unit systems combine with Canon’s advanced internal color management technology to enable you to quickly carry out color reproduction tasks with eyecatching results:

• It also has the ability to handle heavier stock paper at speeds greater than most color devices on the market (up to 20 PPM for 253 gsm/140-lb Index stocks).
• Canon's FB (Finer, Brighter) Toner provides a color range larger than that of most competitive devices and commercial presses for subtle blends, smooth gradations and crisp text.
• Through Canon's Automatic Image Refinement technology, the CLC 4000 boosts text and graphics to the visual equivalent of 800 x 400 dpi for razor-sharp, detailed images.
• Automatic Registration Adjustment self-calibrates for accurate image registration.

Transform your CLC 4000 into a networked printing system by connecting to either a Canon ColorPASS-Z6000 or Z7000 print controller (both available from IKON). These powerful server/RIP options provide all users in your workgroup or enterprise with access to the CLC 4000’s capabilities from their desktops while putting a selection of job and color management tools and utilities at their fingertips:

• The ColorPASS-Z6000, featuring a 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor, 512MB of RAM and a 60GB hard drive, is designed for low-to-mid volume production environments.
• The ColorPASS-Z7000, for high-end production environments, features a 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor with 512MB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive to handle large files quickly and easily.
• NetWise™ 3 enables plug-and-play installation and integration into almost any network environment. NetWise 3 even allows users to send files as E-mail attachments to printers from any remote location.
• Fiery Remote Scan lets users scan multi-page hard-copy documents and easily integrate them into their workflow.

The Canon CLC 4000 is also compatible with T/R Systems’ MicroPress production server (available from IKON), allowing you to cluster and manage multiple color and black-and-white engines through a single controller. Versatile media handling capabilities help maximize your productivity:

• The CLC 4000 provides a total 4,850-sheet paper capacity from four input sources, with the ability to run heavy stocks at faster speed.
• The 3,500-sheet Paper Deck-R1 handles heavy (up to 253 gsm simplex, 163 gsm duplex) and large (up to 12 x 18) media directly from the paper deck.
• Air Assist technology incorporated into the Paper Deck-R1 increases paper feeding reliability by reducing the friction that causes jamming and misfeeds and improving the ability to handle heavy stocks and coated media.
• The optional 100-sheet Recirculating Document Feeder accommodates one- or two-sided multi-page originals as large as 11" x 17".

Finishing options for the CLC 4000 include:

• Canon's Nagel Finisher, a production-level finishing device for saddle-stitched, trimmed, and folded booklets with up to 64 images or 16 sheets.
• A high-capacity TS100 Stacker with support for 2500 sheets for extended runs.
• Stackless Automatic Duplex technology allows you to produce booklets and other two-sided documents on heavyweight media up to 163gsm from the paper deck. For manual duplex jobs, the optional Stack Bypass Alignment Tray delivers improved front-to-back registration.
